Once your website is up and running, everything should run as smooth as silk. If you do require technical support, this is available via email, our support website, or you can leave a message on our Support Voicebank.
10GB of Storage Space
Your new website will have a humongous 10GB of storage space, which includes up to 1GB for the database that holds all the website’s information.
Ensuring that your website is available to be viewed by visitors is essential. Uptime is the amount of time that a website is available to be viewed.
The servers we use have a minimum uptime of 99.99. This means that websites are available to visitors for more than 99.99% of the time.
Free SSL Certificate
When you see the padlock symbol displayed next to a website address in your browser, this means that communications between your device and the website are being encrypted.
For this to be done, an SSL certificate needs to be installed on the website hosting account.
Google is giving preference in its search results to websites that use SSL.
You will get an SSL certificate included as part of your website hosting package.
Every day, a snapshot backup of your entire website – that’s all the files and the database – is taken. These backups are stored on a rolling 30-day basis, so we’ll have access to snapshots of your entire site going back three weeks.
If you ever need to restore your website to one of these backups, the fee is just £20 per restore carried out. Alternatively, you can access your own website hosting control panel and do it yourself.
The servers we use are safe and secure. They’re compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).
It’s important to keep the software that runs your website up-to-date as it helps to improve security and performance.
Your website software will be updated automatically without you having to do a thing.
You can have as many email forwarding addresses set up as you need. For example, you could have all mail that is sent to firstname.lastname@example.org forwarded to a Gmail, Hotmail or any other email account.
If you need an actual mailbox that you can check from your phone, computer, etc., we can introduce you to our email partner SoConnect who can organise that for you.
HTTP/2 as Standard
HTTP/2 is the latest Internet protocol that speeds up the loading of your website. Basically, it helps your website go ‘whoooosh’!
SSD standard for Solid State Device, and as it has no moving parts it works faster than standard web server disks. More whoosh for your website.
